Doug Clemens, who has sold thousands of properties, has devoted more than 40 years to the selling of real estate via the auction marketing method. During his career he has been involved in the performance of real estate auctions throughout the United States, including Alaska, and has represented clients from abroad with holdings in the United States.

A third generation auctioneer, Doug is the chief executive officer of the Traiman Real Estate Auction Company. Founded in 1924 by the Traiman family, it is one of the oldest companies in the United States specializing exclusively in the marketing of significant real estate by the auction method. The Traiman Company has sold billions of dollars of assets over an 83-year period, which includes Clemens' involvement in the sale of $2 Billion in assets for the United States government. Additionally, his firm has been appointed, on many occasions, by Federal and local Courts and municipalities to market and sell high-profile properties.

As well as managing the responsibilities for overall operations and corporate planning, Doug is the owner of the Traiman Corporation and principal Auctioneer. He actively participates in all facets of the firm.

Doug is an acknowledged real estate auction authority and has been a lecturer for the Certified Auctioneers Institute at Indiana University and the National Auctioneers Association for Continuing Education Seminars. He has also spent time in the United Kingdom studying the British method of real estate auctions. Doug has authored a number of articles on the subject, and his expertise has been solicited for publications by various national and international news media.

The well-rounded and extensive real estate auction experience of Doug includes the sale of commercials, institutional, premier residentials, investment and business properties including: operating crop farms, western ranches, preserved land, equestrian facilities, builders land, large and small family homesteads, strip malls, shopping centers, office and, industrial buildings, resorts and vacation homes, golf courses, marinas, agricultural businesses’, garden apartment complexes, new builders homes, city and suburban homes, and entire residential condominium communities.

Doug holds real estate brokers licenses in PA, NJ, NY and DEL. He is a member of the National Association of Auctioneers and Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association, National Association of Realtors, and holds the CAI designation of the Certified Auctioneers Institute where Doug was a guest lecture for the sale of commercial properties at auction.
